Rara lake & Rara National Park

Rara lake has been a popular destination with off the beaten trekking route in far western Karnali region of Nepal for wilderness trekking lovers. The glimpses of culture and scenery on the way are quite different from the rest of Nepal. Located in high altitude, you can find the lake surrounded by Rara National Park with pine, spruce and juniper forest. The view of snow-capped Himalayan peaks enhances the attraction of visitors. This most incredible and fascinating trip to Rara Lake lies northwest of Kathmandu in the remote area of Karnali. The route is very much 'off the beaten path' and offers experiencing unique cultures and scenery very different from the rest of Nepal.

Bardiya National Park

Bardia National Park is the biggest untouched wilderness in the Terai Region of Nepal. Expanding about 968 sq. km with lush forest and grasslands, Bardiya is estimated to be the home to Royal Bengal Tigers and One-horned rhinoceroses. An exquisite and exciting jungle safari through the jungles of Bardiya is a perfect way to add fun with an ample amount of adventure which is only possible via the Bardiya National Park Tour.

Nepal is known as the trekkers' paradise. It has a lot more to provide to the visitors who want to dive deep into the ultimate natural supremacy of this wonderful country besides trekking. Bardiya National Park Jungle Safari Tour is your next big chance to explore the wild tranquil jungle atmosphere with the rich Mother Nature.

Raute ‘The Last Nomads in Nepal’

The indigenous community have well sustained the culture and ancient practices of Nepal. The indigenous and nomads have sustained and tackled in modernization and striving to keep up in recent context. They still exist
though. The Nomads are completely detached from political and community settings. They are culturally embedded to stay in the jungle and migrate.

They are located in periphery of west hilly side of Nepal-namely dailekh and salyan. The fascinating pattern is that they do not typically stay at one location and migration happens when someone dies or lack of food in the commune. The Raute are the historical descendants that are quoted as the king of the forests. They are very artistic and creative with wooden carvings. The wooden products and art are exchanged with foods from community people that is how Raute sustain in jungle across nearby community. As they don’t stay at one place their houses are very small and temporary.

Total 145 Raute/nomads are existent recently. Though nomads do not abide by any political and social institutions however they have their own religious and cultural institution. They are purely Shamanic and follow the festivals and rituals that are common with other population. There is great learning of communion with nature one can have, being a Raute they do not glorify economy and money rather they believe in free abundant and natural living.
