The road trip covers various districts, starting from Central Nepal and traversing through the Terai region, showcasing the stunning landscapes of the western hilly and Himalayan regions of Nepal. In total, travelers will embark on an approximately 1800 km roundtrip, offering an overwhelmingly diverse experience in terms of resources, geography, climate, and culture. Different season have different landscapes, like in winter beautiful snow mountains, in summer the river beauty and beautiful wild flowers like Rhododendron (national flower) in the forests.

Throughout the trip, travelers will have the opportunity to explore culturally and historically significant locations such as the remarkable Sinja Valley, the Karnali River, the Heema River, the Bulbule checkpoint, and numerous rural mountain villages. Our travel company's main pick-up services are located in Kathmandu, Surkhet, and Nepalgunj. However, if necessary, we also offer pick-up services from major cities throughout Nepal, including Biratnagar, Hetauda, Dharan, Birgunj, Lumbini, Pokhara, Dang, Chitwan, Dhangadhi, and Mahendranagar.
The cost of the travel package depends on the number of passengers and the duration of the trip. We provide two service options: premium service, which includes all facilities, and classic service.

For Indian tourists interested in traveling with us to Rara from border cities such as Dhangadhi, Nepalgunj, and Birgunj and so on we welcome your participation. Similarly, for foreigners based in Kathmandu, we can arrange pick-up services from either Kathmandu or any other city in Nepal based on your preference. You can travel with us in all season, and the road trails are of road from Karnali region so sometimes the trip might get extended.

Itinerary

  • 1. Kathmandu to Kohalpur/Surkhet(approx. 500 km, 12-14 hrs. drive)
    Good morning! Our trip starts from Kathmandu around 6 am and our breakfast and lunch service to be on the way across East-West Highway of Nepal. The highway mostly surrounds with the green diverse hills, deep forest and terai terrain. We pass across Dhading-Narayanghat-Butwal-Dang to Kohalpur. Overnight stay and dinner at standard hotel there.
  • 2. Kohalpur/Surkhet to Manma-Kalikot(approx. 250 km, 12-14 hrs. drive)
    Good morning! After Breakfast early morning we move for Kalikot/Manma/Nagma. On the way to Guranshe we then have our Lunch. We get to experience the real adventure of hills from this day where we get to see the dense Karnali river, deep forests, the typical rural villages scattered in the hills. We get across the various communities and culture there. Birendara Nagar surketh-Guranshe-Dungeshwor-Rakkam Karnali-Gite Ghat and finally Kalikot district hedquater Manma (approx.250 km) Overnight stay and dinner service at standard, comfy and local hotel.
  • 3. Manma/Nagma to Rara (approx. 135 km, 9-11 hrs. drive)
    Good morning from Manma/Nagma! After enjoying breakfast, we embark on a drive towards Rara. Along the way, we encounter notable sites such as Pili (a war tourism spot), Tila River, Heema River (known for its traditional wooden bridge), Singa Valley (the birthplace of Nepali Khas Vasha/language), and remarkable traditional villages engaged in the cultivation of Marshi rice, apples, beans, and more. As we progress, the roads become winding and captivating, marking the beginning of the magnificent and diverse Rara National Park. Upon reaching Bulbule, which serves as the border of Jumla district, we come across an army checkpoint, signaling the start of Mugu district. We continue our journey through picturesque Mugu villages like Topla, Peena Jhyari, and Sigari until we reach our final destination, Salleri/MiliChaur. This marks the core area of Rara National Park. It's essential to arrive by 7 pm as entry is not permitted beyond that time. We embark on a scenic hike through the enchanting deep forests of Rara, which takes approximately 1 hour, and eventually settle ourselves at Rara Eco Resort I. Upon arrival, a warm welcome awaits us, with refreshing drinks offered at the hotel. In the evening, we gather around a campfire for a delightful dinner.
  • 4. Explore Rara Lake and Murmatop Hiking
    Good morning! After enjoying a local-style breakfast around 7-8 am, we embark on our trip for a boating adventure. By 12 pm, we complete our sightseeing at Rara Lake and return to the hotel for lunch. Afterward, we head towards Murma Top, which is located across the traditional Murma Village. The village is a remarkable example of classical and ancient Nepalese culture. It takes approximately 45 minutes to reach the village from our hotel. From Murma village we further go unto our trip of Hiking towards the Murma top it takes approx. 1hr. One can reach the breathtaking murma top situated at an altd. of 3770 above m. From this vantage point, the whole magnificent panoramic view of Rara Lake unfolds, along with Kanjiroba Himal, Sisne Himal, Koiki Himal, Chankheli Himal, Chhayannath Temple, Tibet, Karnali River, Humla, Jamla, Kalikot, Dolpa, and parts of the far-western region. The panoramic mountain ranges also offer glimpses of Saipal range, Khaptad, Badimalika, Bajura, Achham, Bajhang, and Darchula districts. Tourists often express that their Tour (Trek) to Rara would be incomplete without hiking to Murma Top. Finally, we return back. The dinner is served best here in our hotel around the camp fire, stary nights.
  • 5. Rara to Jumla/Manma
    Good morning From Rara Eco Resort I. Today we move back after having our breakfast early. We hike across the rara lake to Milichaur/Salleri. We will have lunch on the way to Sinja Valley (Gothijuila). According to your choice you either stay Manma or wish to stay in Jumla Bazar (Capital city). On the way site seeing of typical Khas village and beauty of the valley. Overnight stay and dinner at standard local hotel.
  • 6. Jumla/Manma to Surkhet/Kohalpur
    Good morning! After breakfast we drive to surketh. Lunch on the way and we drive across the hills till we reach surketh valley. The religious and cultural site seen like Bulbule Taal, Deuti Bajai Temple, kakre Bihar Heritage site and finally reset to hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
  • 7. surkhet/Kohalpur to Kathmandu
    Good morning! After breakfast we reset our trip to Kathmandu from Surketh-Kohalphur-Dang-Butwal-Narayanghat-Dhading and finally we reach the final Destination. We offer lunch on the way probably Butwal.
